The 7th match of the ICL 20s Indian Championship featured hosts and defending Champions Hyderabad Heroes taking on debutants Dhaka Warrior at the LB stadium Hyderabad. Pat Symcox in his pitch report predicted a sporting track with a fair bit off assistance to the spinners. Habib Ul Bashar won the toss and decided to take the first hit, wanting to take advantage of his formidable batting line up.

A double strike in the very first over from Razzaq, had the Warriors on the back foot at 6/2. However, the talented Aftab Ahmed was not perturbed by the early setback and with three boundaries and a six put the Warriors right back on track at 26/2 at the end of the third over. At the 15th over stage, the Warriors were right back into the game at 124/5, perfectly set for the final launch in the last five overs. It was turning into a Kapali night and he brought about the first ICL century entertaining a capacity packed LB stadium with some brilliant stroke-play.
